What Is BookaReaderville?
BookaReaderville celebrates the legacy of bookselling at 2120 S. Combee Rd. in Lakeland with a brand-new book shop, with brand-new owners, and with a new inventory of used books, in the location that has been the heart of used-book shopping in Lakeland for three decades!
For over 30 years, shopkeepers have sold used books at 2120 S. Combee Rd. in Lakeland. The Book Bazaar, a Lakeland staple, packed the 4,000 square foot shop at 2120 S. Combee Rd. with a wide array of used books for decades. The Book Bazaar changed ownership a few times during its time on Combee Rd. After the most recent sale in 2020, the new owners rechristened the shop as Inklings. At the end of 2023, Inklings relocated to 243 North Florida Avenue in downtown Lakeland. With the departure of Inklings from the longtime home of the Book Bazaar on Combee Road, the proprietors of The Book Shelter in Winter Haven/Dundee are thrilled to launch BookaReaderville, a new shop in the historic location at 2120 S. Combee Rd. The owners of BookaReaderville are longtime customers of The Book Bazaar on Combee Rd., having shopped there for decades, and will work to honor the history of the longtime location by offering a wide selection of used books at fantastic prices.
The old and the new blend together at BookaReaderville to bring Lakeland a new shop that honors the history of the Combee Road location.
